Artist’s Winter Meditation
This is what I have heard, this is what I have learnt, this is what I know: the artist is inherently a light-worker, shedding light on all aspects of the human condition. The ultimate goal for every human being is to be able to express the nature of their soul to the best of their ability. The artist must do the same for themselves but also on behalf of all beings, human and non-human. The artist commits to be in the present moment, to keep good company to their own soul, to understand that they are connected to everyone and everything. From the depths and lengths of their soul the artist brings up their own uniqueness. With such great precision and generosity they let the world know “This is who I am, these are the truths of my soul”. We are all artists. We need not to be producing constantly. We need to listen, to wait, to allow, to become aware, and then act on our awareness with compassion and a generous spirit, to show ourselves, to show up. We do not need to control how we will be perceived but rather we need to trust our hearts, trust the messages that come up, trust that with our art we show the world how to love itself. We act on our excitement, to the best of our abilities, we do it for our souls, without any attachment to the outcome. Whatever is there, positive or negative, the artist will always be empowered to change the world for the better by means of their creative power.
