On 8 July 2022, the festive opening of the completely renovated houses was finally here! Party and open house for local residents and other interested people. We also celebrated the delivery of this project with Woonstad, Bik Bouw and Superuse.
Tours were given and there were great performances by various residents. People talked about how it all started; the long ride from the year 2000 to the present, from NAC Foundation to housing cooperation W1555.
After loud applause, the 46 new social housing units and 5 social project spaces were officially opened! Afterwards, drinks and toasts were enjoyed and visitors could tuck into all the delicious dishes that several residents had spent days working on. It was definitely a successful day. Cheers! To 'NEW BEGINNINGS'!
The visitors could also vote on the various entries for the Open Call for the public artwork that will be realized in the street. More on that later.
